Chapter 13

After reading Chapter 13 and reviewing the Career and Work PPT, please attend to one or more of the following:

Discuss your experience with work (what did you learn about work from family, when did you start working, what are your beliefs about work, what kind of jobs have you had, etc.) and how this contributes to your ideas about career or plans for the future

Discuss the significance of asking “What do you do”, providing an example from your experience (What did you learn, how did this impact your concept of this person, why is this question important/not important)

Provide an overview of your current plans for career development (major, education plans, experience, action plan to pursue career path)

Discuss what influences your beliefs, decisions, and plans around work and career development (Family influences, experience, beliefs, values, etc)

Share a resource for your classmates that relates to work, career planning and development, major identification, education planning, and discuss why it is useful

In order to receive full credit, be sure to post two separate posts in each discussion forum: one original post (5 points) attending to one of the provided questions or prompt
