You will be using their research (found in scholarly journals) to support your thesis. You may use the library databases, books, scholarly journals, but no websites (this means no junk websites). While you needat least four sourcesfor your research, you only need to actually quote and usethreesourcesin your essay.The essay must be4-5 pageslong and include a works cited page. (Do not forget your works cited.) It is good to read some sample student essays that exemplify good literary analysis. Our book has many to which you can refer and also our very helpful information in our course and modules areas. Classic mistake: Too much summary. Avoid adding summary. Assume your reader has already read the work–otherwise, why would they be reading your essay?
