PSY355 Bowie State University Obesity and Over Weight Discussion

In a past edition, a local newspaper ran an article in the Health Matters column about obesity in the dorms that documented the increase of college age students who are over weight; and I am sure that most of you have heard about the Freshman 15 (the tendency for incoming students to gain ~15lbs during the first year of college).

With this and the chapter 12 in mind, please post your response as to what you believe is the reason for this tendency to gain weight in college and what can be done about it? We look forward to reading your ideas.
