This means that you should make a general prediction about how people will think or behave in a certain situation. Importantly, you should explain WHY the behavior will occur as predicted. Recall the example from class today about group size and helping behavior, in which people are predicted to be LESS likely to help if MORE people are around BECAUSE they will assume that the others will step in to help.
