Hello, my name is Julia and am a seventeen-year-old college student. I need help since am feeling that something is wrong with my life. My friends keep complaining about my weight and my mum is claiming am not eating well. Yet I do not see the change. Apparently, I am an athlete in college. As a freshman, I had gained a lot of weight due to unhealthy eating habits (Gorenstein, E., & Comer, 2015). Therefore, my coach was becoming concerned and personally, I used to feel sluggish and I could not run as I used to.

My plan was to reduce the weight to 130 pounds but upon skipping breakfast and improving my eating habits my weight dropped fast to 115 pounds (Gorenstein, E., & Comer, 2015). Since then I have avoided my mum since she keeps saying I am not eating well and am becoming slim. My friends are also saying the same thing until I decided to leave my roommate Rebecca. I do not see anything wrong because am performing better in my running and the am also working hard to keep my grades high.

I have also decided to cut off friends so that I can concentrate on my studies and athletics at the same time (Gorenstein, E., & Comer, 2015). I am seeking psychotherapy because I think there must be a problem and I cannot figure it out. Therefore, I need to know what is wrong and find out whether it is true am losing too much weight. I also need to know how to deal with my mum since I feel she is watching me every time. I have lost most of my friends because of my current decisions and that is why I need help. Please, help me figure out what is wrong with me.
