For the final paper in this course, you will analyze and apply a personality theory to better understand one of the following topics:
Depression
Anxiety
Addiction
Optimism
Resilience
If you choose one of the topics listed above, you do not need to seek approval for your topic. If you have another idea for a topic related to psychology, seek approval from your instructor. You will analyze this situation from a psychological perspective in your final paper, so choose a situation in which you are willing to engage in critical inquiry.
Next, choose a personality theory that you believe would help you better understand this topic. In the final paper, you will treat the topic as a case study to which you can apply the personality theory in order to better understand how the personality theory relates to the real-world situation. In a one- to two-page paper, briefly describe the topic that you would like to apply the personality theory to, identify the personality theory that you have selected, and provide an explanation about why you have selected this theory. This assignment will serve as the basis for your final project. In addition, find at least two scholarly, peer-reviewed sources about the personality theory from the NLU library that you will use in the final paper. Submit your selected topic and list your three sources in APA style in the same document.
Your paper should be approximately 250 words in length
Your assignment should include a title page and a reference list page, and be completed in Times New Roman 12-point font, double-spaced, with appropriate header, page numbers, one-inch margins, and meet all other requirements of APA Stylebook.
Please use at least two appropriate scholarly references formatted in the most current APA format.
An abstract is not required.
